The National Paediatric Toolkit
Would you like a hands- on demonstration of a unique innovation which captures the opinion and experiences of children and young people?
The National Paediatric Toolkit™ (NPT) is a hand - held computer based survey tool which has been developed at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust, one of Europe's biggest specialist children's hospitals, and is the first mechanism of its kind designed by children and young people for children and young people. The NPT has already been demonstrated to both Lord Darzi and David Nicholson who were extremely impressed at the ease with which young patients engaged with its animated characters (Fabio the Frog®) throughout the patient experience surveys.
Following on from the successful launch at the BT Tower, we have been inundated by over 100 NHS organisations across the UK who are looking to purchase the National Paediatric Toolkit.
We are now running a series of workshops across the UK with Alder Hey and BT to allow everybody's organisation to have a hands on demonstration of the toolkit and to understand how Alder Hey and other hospitals/PCTs have used it to fulfil Lord Darzi's Next Stage Review requirements- " One of the most important principles I suggested in the Next Stage review is personalised care. You can only do personalised care if you can measure the experience of that patient"
